The church venerating the disputed saint Verena holds power over faithful indirectly. While having no direct influence like the Ecclesiarchy of The God-Emperor, the populace tend to bend over the church's will.
The clergy consists of a leader selected from one thousand cardinals. These cardinals are senior members of the myriad of priests. The church has their own guard that is funded by the noble houses.
The chruch claims that supposed powers of their saint was granted to her by God-Emperor himself. Investigations about the possibility of heresy have been opened.
