Uriel Qualanthri
Uriel Qualanthri
Female High Elf - Cleric of the Grave (in disguise as a Cleric of Light)
Tall and gleaming in black and silver armor and shield, bearing a sable dove on argent field, with a glimmering black-hilted longsword, an elderwood longbow, a tight black leather quiver with expertly crafted arrows on their hip, and a twisting and growing draconic mark between her navel and her loins. Uriel’s eyes are gold and shine with judgement.
Uriel is a war cleric of Light from Aerenal, one of the "Black Doves" who carry the grim duty of tending to the dead and dying on the field of battle and disposing of any undead that remain. All races and nations alike make way for these healer knights who tend to appear only when armies are likely to suffer immense casualties. Their order was quick to come to the aid of the Valenar in their adventures in the Last War, and embedded themselves among their elven kin, making themselves known throughout Khorvaire for their brand of mercy. The Black Doves are an isolated order made of only a few clans within the Aerenai, but they are shown respect and deference by other elves in matters of healing and death.
Uri is strikingly tall and lithe, strong, and good looking, though her dark demeanor and solemn dress give off a severe and unapproachable air, except for when she turns on the light priest glow and welcomes the wounded and the weary into unsuspecting peril. In private, he personality is flippant and openly racist against non-Elves, and her lust for sex and death leaks out of every sneer and off-hand comment. She frequently displays a shallow understanding of strategy and risk, having been coddled and encouraged for her natural talent and beauty with little consequence for cruelty or failure. Her respectable and austere uniform serves to hide her true nature as a rash, perverted psychopath who wants to conquer life for herself.
Uri is a gifted acolyte of Aerenai, a talented combat medic, and a warrior with a seeming singular drive to impress and dominate. She only makes friends with other elite warriors and casters, though she has been rumored to drink and fight with some of the rougher crowd whenever passing through a human or dwarven town. Her longsword belonged to their grandmother, who lives among the Undying Court on Aerenal.
Uri is branded with the Dragonmark of Death, a bloodline and power most believe was wiped out long ago by an alliance of elves and dragons to wipe out the aberrant House of Vol. Uri is a descendent of that House and an eager follower of the Erandis Vol, the half-dragon Queen of Death who remains in hiding since the calamity that destroyed her house.
Uri believes that all but elvish life is cheap, and that the undead will ravage the kingdoms of man until the wilds are restored. She believes she can be a part of this by mating herself with a dragon emperor and bearing a Sovereign-like child that will command life and death at once. She believes that any elves who stand against her, including the Undying Court, are unworthy of their immortality and must have it taken from them.
As a conscripted combat medic for the Pax Imperium, Uri is an angel of death on the battlefield, saving the lives of those they consider worthy and either quiet or viciously ending those they do not. They are careful not to reveal their cruel nature to outsiders and even other Black Doves, and they frequently cross the line into murder when it suits them.
Uriel came to Eberron against the wishes of her parents, who are elders in Aerenal and did notthink the high elves should get involved in the Great War. Uriel wanted to kill and use magic and got to do plenty of that. At some point, Uriel developed the Mark of Death. Haven’t filled in that detail yet of how or when. Either way, it means Uriel descends from the House of Vol, which was eradicated by humans, giants and “good” elves thousands of years ago. It’s leader, Erandis Vol, was the Queen of Death, a half dragon half elf that ruled over undeath. She’s Uriel’s ancestor. Uriel wants to be like her mother and fuck Kiaus and give birth to the next Dragon/Elf demigod. She believes Caius is a dragon in disguise, and may also be her relative from the same line. She believes the Vol bloodline is superior and should rule all of Eberron as an undead wonderland.
In the short term, Uriel is working on death sex magic to be ready for the opportunity to carry the child of an evil undead dragon. She aims to expose and command the Black Doves and turn them into her own personal army of Necromantic warrior priests, on behalf of her future husband Caius.
Organizations / Groups: Uriel is currently a member of the humanitarian medical organisation The Black Doves and is a founding member of The Unforeseen.
The Hospital that Uriel founded in Newham has grown and thrived into a medical research and educational facility. She heads the department known as the University of Newham Department to Eradicate and Analyze Diseases AKA, U.N.D.E.A.D. There she continues to research the undead and discovers that the drug Embrace when used on F.Lighter slows down the decomposing process.
Items: Uriel has two necromantic "black boxes" one that allows her to create undead, found in New Ham. The second, found in a mechanical undead Knight in an uncovered tomb outside Adren Crest. This one was damaged during battle.
Sex Magic: Uriel performed Necromatic Sex Magic on a corpse of a dead Imperial Solider to rise an undead. In doing so it created a ghoul. She has since then performed this act in front of Gabriel Duin and Emperor Kaius III, creating a Ghoul from the corpse of known rebel and famous singer Lady Glow.
The future empress and mother of the God of Death.
