How to Contribute

Anyone can contribute to Ingokai! We accept all kinds of creative works, including short stories, novels, artwork, music, timelines of events, and articles to add to the wiki. Ingokai was designed for anyone to be able to contribute to it, so don't be shy about contacting us at [email protected].

Submission Guidelines

Ingokai is, by design, a world rich with varying perspectives. Just as history is discovered through primary sources that may be innacurate or even contradictory, so too in Ingokai can individual sources offer conflicting perspectives on an event. It is in the spirit of Ingokai to leave such discrepancies up to the reader to decide for himself, rather than to clear them up with an authoritative statement from the Author's Pen. Individual contributors are free to have headcanons of their own and even to write articles that support that interpretation, but even so there should be left room for alternate interpretations.
Because of this it is the default assumption that all sources, all articles, and all works set in Ingokai are but one interpretation of events. This leaves room for other contributors to make their own mark on Ingokai by offering a fresh perspective on the same facts. With this goal in mind, we have developed the following set of guidelines for submissions:

List of Guidelines

  1. Submissions to Ingokai should add new content. This can be adding a paragraph to an existing article or adding a new article, as well as adding to or creating timelines. Works such as poems, short stories, artwork, or music are always considered new content unless they are copies of another person's work.
  2. Avoid Contradictions. While alternate perspectives are encouraged, attempting to erase or upstage another contributor's work is never allowed. For example, if another contributor wrote an article about the War of the Tigress, then it would not be allowable to write an article stating that the war never occurred at all. (However, it would be perfectly admissible to create an organization that claims that the war never existed. This allows the reader to draw his own conclusions on the matter.)
  3. Allow for the possibility of reinterpretation. While the default assumption concerning Ingokai is that everything is subject to some interpretation, it is possible to write an article in such a way that makes reinterpretation difficult. Contributors are encouraged to be proactive about the perspectives within their articles, deliberately leaving the door open for alternate views or even proffering some within the article itself.
  4. Write from a limited perspective. It is highly recommended (though not required) that contributors write articles from an in-universe perspective that would naturally be limited. Examples of this would be writing about a religion from the perspective of a well-educated teacher of that religion, or writing about a war from the perspective of an archaeologist who found several important artifacts that revealed its existence. It is especially encouraged to write articles as if they were secondary or tertiary sources, as if they were textbooks on magic or dissertations on political philosophy.
Any questions about these guidelines can be sent to [email protected].

Submission Form

The submission form below is to help us evaluate your work faster and to add it to the wiki more easily.   The Ingokai Curators reserve the right to refuse to publish any contribution for any reason. All work remains the property of the contributors who created it. By using content from this wiki or submitting your work to be included within Ingokai, you agree to allow other writers to use it in derivative works. If you would like your work removed for any reason, send a request to [email protected].
