Innistrad

Imagine a world where the horror of Mary Shelley's *Frankenstein* or Bram Stoker's *Dracula* wasn't found in a book, but outside your front door, growling to be let in.   Innistrad, an island far from other lands, is beset on all sides - Vampires lair in castles in the mountains of Stensia, werewolf packs prowl the dark Ulvenwald forest, phantom Geists and undead crawl around the maritime cities of Nephalia. Even the capital city, Thraben, is not completely safe. For noble or farmer alike, seeing the sun rise again is never certain.   And so the people's trust is in the few brave enough to hunt monsters, slay fiends, and expel ghosts. Those who wander the countryside, bringing hope to those who had been forsaken.   Those like you.
