Soli Science Vessels

Soli Science Vessels are the most advanced in the two galaxies. Designed primarily for research, exploration, and investigation into unknown areas, they have the latest scientific and technological advances. Navigation systems are precise and are mostly done by bots and tech systems, requiring little piloting skills from the ship residents, allowing them to focus on research data and discovery. The ship has a quiet hum to it, the noise of the engines deflected by the design.
  Sleek and silver in design, the hum a light blue glow inside, the color the Soli find most peaceful and soothing. The quarters are designed for comfort during long research missions, with soft, fluffy beds, cool and soothing sheets, and thick, warm blankets for the depths of space. Everything from the curve of the cups to the height of the chairs has been designed to ensure the most comfort and ease in living on a ship, far away from Soli.
Using the latest food storage technology, an abundance of fresh fruit and vegetables are pre-cut and prepared for consumption. There is also a small terrarium area to grow fresh produce, a hobby many scientists find meditative. But in case caring for plants isn’t enough, an entire meditation chamber is located in the back of the ship, dedicated to quiet and intentional clearing of the mind, an important ritual in Soli thinking and processing.
The Soli have mastered intergalactic communication, developing technology for near-instant communication across planets and even galaxies. However, the technology comes at a cost, quickly depleting fuel and energy resources. Thus the Solis can communicate with the home world, but only in a few special circumstances, and mostly to communicate with superiors. The ship has no offensive weapons, but plenty of defensive ones. The ship is designed to make a quick retreat or escape, having the ability to quickly create its own warp bubble at three times the speed of other ships.
