Brandon Carter

Brandon Andrew Carter is an Earth-born American politician, author, and businessman, and the current elected president of the United States of America and United Nations Federation. Carter's political career first began when he was elected as the governor of New Mexico shortly after his thirtyish birthday, fore which he served for a full term before he made the jump to the US House of Representatives for New Mexico's 2nd congressional district, winning in a narrow 87-13% of the vote. Carter served for two terms as New Mexico's 2nd district representative. Though he did run for reelection for a third term, he lost to Republican candidate Robert Andresen. Carter didn't mind much as he was considering a run for president in the 2724 presidential election.

Inauguration

Brandon Carter was inaugurated on January 20, 2725, taking the oath of office from Chief Justice Hanna Clark. In his inaugural address, Carter committed himself to rebuilding America back to its former glory from seven hundred years ago and to better the planetary governments of UNF controlled worlds. He expressed an abhorrence for the growing divisions over rivalries in planetary territories, while saying that Congress should play no role in determining the status of planetary rivalries. He also declared his support for independence in planetary territories.
