Caniic Runes
Caniic Runes are letters and symbols of the caniic alphabet. Caniic runes are used to write various Hazurian languages of ancient and modern caniic. In addition to representing a sound value (a phoneme), runes can be used to represent the concepts after which they are named (ideographs). Examples of this are often referred to as Turniicrunian by academics. The Oraziician variants are also known as Kurdiic (derived from their first eight letters of the alphabet: C, D, U, ᛉ, I, N, W, and Y).
Similar to humanity, Caniic Runology is the scholastic study of the runic alphabets, runic inscriptions, runestones, and their history. Runology forms a specialized branch of Hazurian philology.
