Sergeant Courtney Elisabeth Samuels (service number 19034-40289-CS) is a servicewoman of the USC military police currently stationed onboard the USC Blue Dawn. Samuels is notably dedicated to her job though she hasn't seen any combat-related situation. The closest she came was a bomb search of key location on the Dawn while enroute to New Earth.

Attire and personal effects

Commonly, Courtney is seen in standard utility fatigues, or Marine Corps dress uniform consisting of a tan khaki short sleeve shirt with nameplate on the right breast, and MP badge on the left, black khaki pants with a dark red stripe down the side and black shoes. When in combat, she'll where thesame BDU like other marines with the letters "MP" on the front of the chestpiese. For firearms, Courtney favors the A475 Designated Marksman Rifle with a custom stock, smart-link scope, and a voice-activated trigger lock, and the G47H2 magnum sidearm.
When on personal leave, Courtney dresses very causally, usually in simple jeans or shorts with marine corps t-shirt. Though, she likes to don a flowery sun dress when out on a nice day. Courtney doesn't carry any purse or bag, usually she just has a decent sized wallet. She does open-carry her civilian-owned Glock-17.

Courtney is the second eldest child and eldest daughter of Peter and Emma Samuels. She has one older brother, Lieutenant Austin Samuels of the USC Navy, and Specialist Olivia Samuels of the USC Army. Courtney is also the first niese of the Martian President, Erin Rebecca Samuels, a fact that she trys to hide in order to avoid any special treatment.
