Free Space Party

The Free Space Party (FSP) is a terrorist group during the early stages of planetary colonization to present. The FSP strongly opposes humanity exploring and colonizing space, believing in the notion that humanity MUST remain on Earth even at the cost of over population for which they have no qualms about mass genocide should populations grow too large.
The FSP was originally formed in the mid-2050s as a rival political party to the American Republican and Democratic parties but after several extremist groups emerged with direct ties to the party. After they were outed, the FSP was barred from holding all governmental positions or preforming any duties relating government.

Background & Ideology

The FSP was founded by a group of radical environmentalists who feared the repercussions of space exploration and colonization. They found that humanity should remain on Earth and not resort to colonizing other planets in search of natural resources that could be easily exhausted. Their ideology was based on the belief that humanity needed to find a sustainable way of living on Earth and that space exploration could only bring harm to the planet and its inhabitants.
As time progressed, the FSP began taking more extreme measures to stop the expansion into space. They started by vandalizing private and public properties of space companies and their affiliates. However, this soon escalated into more violent actions, including the bombing of spaceports, hijacking of spacecraft, and the murder of those who were involved in space exploration and colonization.
The FSP quickly gained notoriety across human colonized space and was highly feared by many. Their members were known to be highly trained and specialized in guerilla warfare, making them a dangerous force to be reckoned with. They had a significant following in underdeveloped countries on Earth, where their message resonated with those who had little to no access to basic necessities.
As of now, the FSP still exists, albeit in a much smaller capacity compared to their prime. They have been pushed to the fringes of society and are now considered a terrorist group. Despite this, they still hold the same belief that humanity should not explore or colonize space, and they will go to any extent necessary to stop it from happening.
