Governorate of the Hierarchy
The Governorate of the Hierarchy is one of the five principal organs of the Caniic Hierarchy government, and its executive arm. The governorate has an important role in setting the agenda for the deliberative and decision-making bodies of the Hierarchy (i.e., the Representative Assembly, Education, Economic and Social Council, and Security Council), and the implementation of the decision of these bodies. The governor-general, who is appointed by the Representative Assembly, is the head of the governorate.

Departments
The Hierarchy executive departments are the principal units of the executive branch of the government of the Hierarchy. They are analogous to ministries common in parliamentary or semi-presidential systems but they are led by a head of government who is also the head of state. The executive departments are the administrative arms of the Governor-General of the Caniic Hierarchy. There are currently 8 executive departments.
Each department is headed by an administrator of their respective department. The heads of the executive departments are appointed by the governor-general and take office after approval by the Hierarchy Security Council, and serve at the pleasure of the governor-general. The heads of departments are members of the governorate of the hierarchy, an executive organ that acts as an advisory body to the governor-general.
