Härja-Eirǫrðr
Härja-Eirǫrðr, (meaning: "Unity of the Pure") is a militant extremist network composed of Caniic insurgents. It was founded in 2002 by Arvid "Iron Arms" Bjorina and several other Caniic volunteers after the signing of the Treaty of the Marsh that ended the Sauruanian Contact War.
Härja-Eirǫrðr has been designated as a terrorist group by the Caniic Hierarchy. Härja-Eirǫrðr has mounted attacks on non-military and military targets against the Tigriic and Sauruanian in various locations across Struyix, and Esox Islands (including the 2091 Tigriic embassy bombings, the Hagis City Attacks on 12th Mirth, 2005, and the Sauruanian 2021 Hjiaril Bombing). Two years after contact with humanity, Härja-Eirǫrðr caniic hijacked the USC Hammer Jack and crashed it into the human city of Chicago, Illinois on Earth killing 367,287 and injuring 198,093 people.
Organization
Leadership
Commonly, since the death of Arvid Bjorina in 2023, Härja-Eirǫrðr has not had any true leaders, instead it is led by a loose hierarchy known as the Collective, which is composed of eight officers. These officers are often the most dangerous members and rarely stays in one place and even rarer gather as a group. Härja-Eirǫrðr leadership changes hands quite often if the Hierarchy Intelligence is getting too close to uncovering their identities.
The most important and dangerous Collective members are Daavik Kalik and Xavieara Corxan. Both are listed as "High Priority Captures", which has led many to believe that Daavik and Xavieara hold considerably more authority than other Collective members. In fact, Daavik Kalik was formerly a career soldier within the Hierarchy Army and Navy holding the rank of vice admiral. Little information about Xavieara is known as all of her data was wiped from Hierarchy Records when she turned traitor. However, HIA’s recent reports have uncovered an additional member known only as ‘The General’. While the identity of this ‘General’ is unknown, as he or she is clearly careful enough to hide their tracks, though intelligence reports have determined that all other Collective members including Daavik and Xavieara are subordinate to.
Command structure
Härja-Eirǫrðr operates as a highly decentralized organization with cells operating independently from one another. Each cell is led by a cell leader, who reports to a higher-ranking officer within the Collective. The command structure is designed to prevent the entire organization from being taken down if one cell is compromised.
The cells are formed around geographical locations, and each cell has its own recruitment process and selection criteria. Once a member is inducted into a cell, they have to prove their loyalty and dedication to the cause to be promoted within the organization's ranks. The organization follows a strict code of conduct that includes absolute obedience to orders from superiors, maintaining secrecy, and a willingness to sacrifice oneself for the greater good.
Field operatives
Härja-Eirǫrðr's field operatives are ruthless and highly trained soldiers who specialize in urban warfare, sabotage, and assassination. They are often recruited from within Caniic communities and undergo an intense training program that lasts for months. The training includes weapons and explosives handling, code-breaking, and infiltration techniques.
Field operatives work with other members of their cell to plan and execute attacks on their designated targets. They operate covertly, using false identities, encrypted communication channels, and safe houses to avoid detection by the authorities.
Härja-Eirǫrðr's field operatives are known for their brutality and willingness to commit suicide bombings or other acts of terrorism in order to achieve their goals. They are also renowned for their ability to blend into their surroundings, making them difficult to identify and apprehend.
Insurgent forces
Härja-Eirǫrðr's insurgent forces operate across various regions in Tíreia, primarily in Hazura and Acluth. They also have territorial control over Anzion, Atis, and Unerth. The number of insurgent forces has fluctuated over time, starting with less than 50 members in 2002 and growing to 125-5,000 members by 2018. In 2020, they had approximately 200 members, but by 2085, their numbers had grown exponentially to reach 15,000 members.
Härja-Eirǫrðr's insurgent forces are well-trained and well-armed, especially since they have been known to acquire weapons and resources through illicit means such as raids on military bases and attacks on supply convoys. Their tactics include ambushes, assassinations, bombings, and raids on both military and civilian targets. They are known for their extreme brutality against anyone they consider to be enemies of their cause, often mutilating and torturing their victims.
Despite their small size, Härja-Eirǫrðr has managed to wage a prolonged and bloody terrorist campaign against their opponents, including the Caniic Hierarchy, Esox Kingdom and Struyix Republic. Their ideology revolves around Caniic supremacy and their hatred of Tigriic, Sauruanian, and aliens. Their recruitment methods are unknown, but they have been known to target disillusioned Caniic who feel marginalized or oppressed by the current systems in place. They offer these recruits a sense of purpose and belonging in a group that is fighting for their rights as Caniic.
The Hierarchy has been trying to eliminate Härja-Eirǫrðr for centuries, but they have been largely unsuccessful due to Härja-Eirǫrðr's secretive nature and well-executed attacks. The Collective's constantly shifting leadership structure makes it difficult for Hierarchy Intelligence services to pinpoint their exact location and eliminate them. Despite the Hierarchy's efforts, Härja-Eirǫrðr's numbers continue to grow and they have even managed to establish their own small territories in the colonies of Anzion, Atis, and Unerth. These territories operate outside of the law and are often used as safe havens for Härja-Eirǫrðr members. They have also established a strong network of informants and sympathizers who provide them with information and resources. However, Härja-Eirǫrðr's recent actions have attracted the attention of not just the Hierarchy but also various other factions in the Struyix Republic. Many Tigriic see them as a threat to peace and stability in the region, and there have been calls for joint action against them.
Financing
Härja-Eirǫrðr's financing is largely unknown, but many suspect that they rely on donations from sympathizers and support from illicit organizations such as smugglers and pirates. They have also been known to demand tributes from small villages and towns in their territories, using intimidation and violence to ensure compliance. Additionally, Härja-Eirǫrðr has been rumoured to have connections to wealthy Caniic businessmen who sympathize with their cause and are willing to provide financial support in secret. Whatever the source of their funding may be, it is clear that Härja-Eirǫrðr has access to significant resources which allow them to fund their operations and expand their influence.
Assets
Härja-Eirǫrðr has managed to acquire a surprisingly large supply of armament, armor, munitions, vehicles, starfighters, and starships. Exactly how Härja-Eirǫrðr managed to acquire so many assets is unclear but it is suspected that they have supporters within many of the Hierarchy's Military branches and companies. Their starfighter fleet consists mainly of modified A-6/49 interceptors with stolen transponders which allow them to move undetected through Hierarchy Space. They also have access to a variety of starships which are used for larger operations or orbital assaults.
In addition to their hardware, Härja-Eirǫrðr has a formidable arsenal of weapons including photon rifles, pistols, katanas, and missiles. Such high-tech weaponry allows them to outgun their opponents in most engagements and gives them an edge in skirmishes. Härja-Eirǫrðr possess state-of-the-art body armor which protects their members from harm during combat.
Härja-Eirǫrðr also has access to advanced surveillance technology such as recon drones which can be used for scouting enemy movements or monitoring settlements in their territories. This intelligence gathering capability gives them a major advantage over their opponents and allows them to stay one step ahead of potential threats from the Hierarchy or other factions.
Strategy
Härja-Eirǫrðr's primary strategy has been to engage in a prolonged terrorist campaign against their opponents, focusing on both military and civilian targets. They have successfully acquired a vast array of weaponry and resources, which they use in their attacks, ambushes, and raids.
Their primary goal is to destabilize the Caniic Hierarchy, Esox Kingdom and Struyix Republic, and create chaos, which they believe will ultimately lead to the empowerment of the Caniic people. Härja-Eirǫrðr also seeks to eliminate Tigriic and Sauruanian influence on Tíreia and her colonies and create a "pure" Caniic state.
To achieve these objectives, Härja-Eirǫrðr has employed several tactics such as bombings, assassinations, and ambushes. They target not only military personnel but also civilians who they view as enemies or potential collaborators with their opponents. Their attacks are often carried out with extreme violence, leaving behind a trail of destruction and bloodshed.
In addition to their violent tactics, Härja-Eirǫrðr has also established a network of informants and sympathizers who provide them with information and resources. They have also established safe havens in their controlled territories on Anzion, Atis, and Unerth, where they store weapons, ammunition, and other resources.
To further their goals, Härja-Eirǫrðr is known to recruit disaffected Caniic individuals who feel marginalized or oppressed by the current systems in place. They offer these recruits a sense of purpose and belonging in a group that is fighting for their rights as Caniic people.
Härja-Eirǫrðr's tactics have been successful in destabilizing the regions where they operate. They have forced the Caniic Hierarchy to divert resources and attention to combating their insurgency, which has weakened their ability to maintain control over these regions.
Ideology
Härja-Eirǫrðr's ideology is based on the belief in Caniic supremacy and the need to establish a "pure" Caniic state free from the influence of Tigriic and Sauruanian cultures. They view themselves as the defenders of the Caniic people and believe that their violent tactics are necessary to achieve their goals.
Their extremist ideology has led them to engage in brutal and inhumane acts against their perceived enemies, including torture, mutilation, and murder. They see anyone who does not share their beliefs as a threat, including other Caniic who they view as collaborators or traitors to their cause.
Härja-Eirǫrðr's propaganda often depicts Tigriic, Sauruanian, and other alien species as second-class citizens and unworthy of sharing space with Caniic. They view any integration or cooperation with these groups as a threat to the purity of Caniic culture.
Racial compatibility
Härja-Eirǫrðr believes in the superiority of the Caniic race and sees other races, especially Tigriic and Sauruanian, as inferior and unworthy of coexisting with Caniic. They view any form of integration or cooperation with these groups as a threat to the purity of Caniic culture.
The organization's extremist views have led to brutal and inhumane acts against individuals who belong to other races. Härja-Eirǫrðr members have been known to target and attack individuals solely based on their racial background, often using violent tactics such as torture, mutilation, and murder.
Their propaganda often depicts Caniic as the superior race, possessing unique qualities that make them better suited for leadership roles. This notion has led them to reject any form of interracial relationships, seeing them as a dilution of the pure Caniic bloodlines.
Attacks on civilians
Härja-Eirǫrðr's violent tactics are not limited to military targets. They have also been known to carry out attacks on civilians who they view as enemies or potential collaborators with their opponents. Their attacks on civilians are often carried out with extreme brutality, leaving behind a trail of destruction and bloodshed. They target not only individuals who belong to other races but also Caniic who they view as traitors to their cause.
Härja-Eirǫrðr justifies their attacks on civilians by claiming that they are necessary to achieve the goal of establishing a "pure" Caniic state free from the influence of Tigriic and Sauruanian cultures. They believe that anyone who does not share their beliefs is a threat to the purity of Caniic culture and must be eliminated.
Their attacks on civilians have caused fear and panic among the populace, making it difficult for the Hierarchy and other factions to maintain stability in the regions where Härja-Eirǫrðr operates. Many civilians have been forced to flee their homes and seek shelter in other regions to escape Härja-Eirǫrðr's violence.
The organization's violent tactics have also drawn the ire of various factions in the Struyix Republic, who see them as a threat to peace and stability in the region. There have been calls for joint action against Härja-Eirǫrðr, with some factions even considering the use of force to eliminate them. Despite this, Härja-Eirǫrðr remains a significant threat to peace in Tíreia, and their activities continue to destabilize the regions where they operate. As long as they remain a potent force, the struggle for peace and stability on Tíreia and throughout the Thlit System will continue.
