Richard Beckett
Colonel Richard Alexander Beckett (Service number 20098-09019-RB) is an American serviceman with the Tactical Orbital Defense Troopers holding the rank of colonel. Beckett is a hardcore combat veteran of the Second Energy War where he earned a purple heart, a bronze and silver star, Meritorious Service Medal, and a congressional Medal of Honor. During the Second Energy War, Richard heroically throw himself on a live grenade defending a group of civilians. Richard survived the act but was severely injured in the process including the loss of his right arm. Richard's acts of heroism didn't stop there, or even slow down. From 2703 to 2718, Richard was front and center in direct combat with the Arabic Republic on Armstrong 1, Davon Omega, and Washington. During his Armstrong 1 tour, Richard wound-up losing his left eye after an RPG impact destroyed his helmet and sent glass shards into his skull.
By 2720, Richard was on the fast track to a presidential cabinet position until his drop pod was struck by enemy fire. Amazingly, Richard again survived, however; both of his lungs, kidneys, and part of his liver had to be replaced with synthetic copies. Richard's squadmates soon started calling him the 'Lucky Immortal' because he kept surviving obviously fatal injuries throughout his military career and kept going.
