Star Helix was founded as Star Helix Computer Company on Meia 41, 1982, by Frømund Waviirsǫgr, Censorinus Kuintissǫgr, and Thietgarda Imnacharjóttar to develop and sell Waviirsǫgr's Data I public computer. It was incorporated by Kuintissǫgr and Waviirsǫgr as Star Helix Computer Inc. in 1987. The company's second computer, the Data II, became a best seller and the first mass-produced microcomputers. Star Helix went public in 1990 to instant financial success.
