Terraforming

Terraforming is the process in which a planet is changed or "formed" to suit the needs of those terraforming the planet. It normally involves inserting plants and/or flora, introducing new minerals or substances, or other changes to fulfill the required goals for the planet in question. It can take up to several centuries to fully terraform an Earth-sized planet, or even slightly larger. At present, there have only been three galactic races that have achieved this form of technology: Yictan, Humanity, and Caniic. Though, human terraforming is extremely advanced thanks to the heavy use of Atmospheric Terraforming Towers.

Atmospheric Terraforming Towers, a technology pioneered by humans. These towers release gases into the atmosphere, gradually altering its composition and creating a stable environment for life to thrive. Additionally, the introduction of plants and other forms of flora can aid in the production of oxygen and the removal of harmful gases. To date, no one knows who designed the first tower nor the formula for terraforming. All is known is that the plans for the first tower and the formula for terraforming were both anonymously given to the US government in 2040. It took 20 years before the process to be implemented due to the complexity of the formula's equations.
