Weapons Scanner

The Weapons Scanner is a large device that disables all weapons technology including caniic sidearms apart from security teams. The scanner was effective on both projectile weaponry, and energy weapons. Typically placed in the entryways of strategically important buildings, they are designed to be easily disconnected for inspection and repair. Also, apart from energy weapons, the device can even disable any form of melee weapon (such as a knife or sword).
