Hethari

Hethari is a floating island that used to be the heart of a big old forest and a commonly use shelter in Ashtara that was ripped and quickly died while traveling to Iphars.

Geography

The island covers what used to be the heart of the forest, the deepest part of it. In the centre, there's a swallow lake, surrounded by wide trees with an even wider canopy.

The wider trees, where often picked to be carved inside, following a special method that kept the tree alive yet allowed for a big part of its trunk to be taken out, enough so that it could become a small shelter against unusually yet dangerous weather the forest had. These shelters were often found out to be occupied by forest animals and many times people and animals shared them.

Blessed

The heart of the forest was believed to be home for many nature gods and thus, a lot of traditions and rituals related to them used to happen in there. All this events brought a lot of people to the place, causing the necessity of shelters even thought the trees themselves were already really good natural shelters.

Weather

This forest used to had a lot of strong magical weather events, which involved unnatural rains (with crystals and even fire), strong winds with unpredictable movements (as if it was alive), and even event of void magic (where magic wasn't able to work in).

Content Warning
Metion of death and no way of escaping.

Adea

The travel to Adea was harsh to Hethari, the void took the life out of all plant matter in the island, leaving only husks of the trees and dusty shapes that used to be grass that crumble under the touch and wind.

With the plants gone, animals tried to escape but the heart of the forest was ripped from the rest of the forest, creating the Hethari island, and thus the animals were unfortunately trapped and slowly died, together with the few people that found themselves trapped in it.

Now, the island is only a reminder of the devastation that was caused by the dawn of magic and no one (not even flying animals) dare going into the island, doomed to stay as an show of how not even blessed places were safe from the end of Asthara.

It sounds like it used to be so beautiful. I love the idea of people and animals sharing the tree shelters. I am sad it is gone. :(

Yeah, Adea is a place where beauty has been left behind yet people are trying their best to both survive and recover the sense of home that the beautiful place once gave them.

Tragic for such a beautiful place to be lost to the void like that. Your last sentence really drives the home the finality of "the end".
