Alchemy

In 1242 the being known as Alchemy struck the Desert hard. Alchemy is a masked figure who is a master of mutagenetic alchemy. In other words, they can splice and mutate the DNA of living beings. In their first appearance Alchemy made a small army of mutant monsters and used them to attack Kadune. Their beasts over powered the down and brought it to its knees. Alchemy had no interest in ruling so once the damage was done they left. A year later and Alchemy's creations sacked Meltwater and the Oasis, both failed to resist the attack. A year after that Grandak was attacked but the mutants failed to break into the underground city. Alchemy went MIA after the failed attack for three years until they eventually returned with a force smaller than before to attack Vorodorom. History repeated itself however and Alchemy's experiments were defeated and Alchemy was captured and killed   Then in 1289 a figure calling themselves Alchemy assassinated King Kaidu. When the next Pit was held everyone was in for a horrid surprise. A legion of mutated monsters laid in wait at the Pit and slaughtered more than 2,000 Nathair. Alchemy's monsters stayed at the pit refusing to leave. A king could not be chosen without the Pit and for a year the Desert had no King. The mutants wondered the wastelands and hung around outside of the cities so that a Pit could not be held anywhere else. Eventually in 1290 a Dhulka by the name of Romis the Titan marched a party of warriors on the Pit and killed Alchemy.   The monsters the Alchemys made were some of, if not the most horrid, grotesque and twisted beings in Ire, more foul than any monster. They were several living creatures frankinstined into one body. What could not be bonded with science was stitched and sewn together. Monsters would be fused with Nathair, animals and monsters, humans and nathair, and every other combination possible.
