An luchd-eòlais or The Knowers, are a group of dwarves devoted to keeping the language of the Giants and their magic alive. They formed in 1042 after Sir Jack the Human drove the Giants to extinction. They are the only ones in the world who know the. They live simple and peaceful lives as nomads and travel the country preserving nature and healing the wounded soldiers.
As Druids they can understand animals and the plants themselves. Their magic allows them to manipulate plants to do their bidding. They imbue magic into rocks by carving runes into them, the trick of the Giants themselves. Technically anyone can join the An luchd-eòlais but one does not truly join them unless their heart is in it.
