Latchabos

A latchabo is no normal monster. They are a curse bound to an object. It is a curse of pure hatred and anger, most are created by accident. Imagine this, a mage is betrayed or possibly heartbroken filled with anger and pain they are holding an object, this could be a bottle, a pen, anything. This mage accidently puts their pain and anger into this object and now a latchabo is made. Latchabos can also be made on purpose and when they are they are much stronger and potent.
A latchabo has no psychical form, it appears as a glittery mist and seeps into it's target. Through the lungs, the eyes even the pores of your skin, there is no escape. It latches onto your mind and searches for your greatest fears and angers and brings them to life. It uses these projections to dissociate its target making it fight these figures the latchabo has made. These projections always aim to kill you but this is a ruse, for the latchabo is slowly poisoning your heart. The projection killing you is just a visual way to know the latchabo is killing you. The afflicted might be able to fight off one vison or even two but each battle makes them weaker and eventually they will die.
The only way to kill a latchabo is to find the object it was bound to, if you can destroy the object the latchabo will die.
