Scales The First Dark One

(a.k.a. The Father of Magic)

In year 5 of the Beginning Age The Dark God brought to life a ring and dropped it down to Ire. This ring would be found by a Nathair known as Scales. When Scales put on the ring he was given un compensable power. He was filled with the magic of the Gods. Scales was terrified of his power so he ran and hid from everyone he knew. He spent the next couple hundred years struggling to understand his gift and where it came from. In 467 Scales rejoined his people and showed them his gift. He did not only show his people magic but he shared it with them. Scales taught the first of the Nathair to wield magic. After he that magic swept through the Desert like a storm. It grew and flourished, the Nathair's lives changed for the better and were never the same again.
Scales used his power to win in The Pit and become King. Once he wore the crown he had a new goal. While he was away he discovered a new land. One that unlike the Desert was brimming with life. Where the air was cool, where green flourished all around and the waters flowed plentiful. Scales believed if his people were to thrive they would need to colonize this new land. So Scales lead the Nathair to the new land only to discover it was already inhabited. The people there fear him and his people and were extremely hostile. Scales would not be stopped, he attacked The Vale and the humans. Despite all his power he was stopped and was forced to send his people back to The Desert.
Shortly after defeat A human got Scales to hand over the ring that gave him his power. Not thinking anything of it Scales handed it over freely. When the human wore the ring the 900 year old snake died, his power now inside the human wearing the ring.

Scales crafted a golden serpent-like staff to help channel his immense power. After his death his staff passed to the next Ukulutha cheif, and the next, and the next.
