The church of the Holy Sun

There are many churches devoted to the Light God in the Vale but the church of the Holy Sun in Xares is the grandest. Pillars and halls of marble and beautiful stained glass windows that depict the battles between the Light God and the Dark God. There is the central room in which people come to church to worship and hear the words of the Arch Bishop. The Pews are exquisitely carved and the altar from which the priests and arch bishop speak stands tall above the masses. Along the walls are metal braziers that hold great fires. To the left of the altar is the library room. The shelves wrap around an enclose the inside of the room and touch the ceiling. The library holds the scriptures of the Light god along with recorded history of the Vales past kings. The library also leads to the Arch Bishop's quarters but no one is allowed inside other than the Arch Bishop themselves as this is where the communicate with the Light God. Now the church has its own order of paladins that guard the temple and the arch bishop with their lives. The paladins are not employed by the king nor by the arch bishop. In fact they do not get paid at all but where given a hall to live in by the church. These paladins are sworn to god and to the arch bishop and will defend them and everything associated no matter the cost. At the order of the Arch bishop the paladins will go out into the world to spread the word of god and to wipe out anything having to do with the Dark God.
