The College of Artwen
Think of how old the world is, how long peoples have lived, all those centuries learning, building, growing, but most peoples are mortal and overtime tradition fades to fairy tail and practice is forgotten, but what if it wasn't? What if there was a place with the recorded knowledge since times beginning? That is what the College of Artwen offers. It is said that Artwen has been traveling the world since it began, traveling to and learning from all places and all people. From the langue of the Ents and the legends of the great dragons to the runes carved by the dwarves Artwen saw it all. When humans first started to flourish Artwen wanted a way to share their knowledge with them, but humans live timed lives and they could not teach generations upon generations the secrets of the world. So Artwen made a great library, filled with tombs in which they recorded all they knew and all they had found. Yet these treasures would not be shared with the humans. Artwen began to see the humans true colors. They worried what humans would due given this much insight and wisdom. So Artwen hid the library. Cloaked with old magic no normal person would ever find it. This is not the College's only defense however, for it moves. Now no one is quite sure how it does this but it moves. Humans have tracked it down before but before they can get inside the college vanishes before them. Only elves have ever been allowed inside the college and only they can study and learn the secrets inside. It is believed that Artwen is picky about which elves they choose to let inside. But those who do gain entry have the knowledge of all Ire at their fingertips.
