The Locklin Family
House Locklin is an old a family as any of the nobles houses, yet they have held no true power. That is not to say they are weak, no. The Locklin bloodline is one of magic and old powers. Every family member since the Beginning age as been a sorcerer, wizard, witch, or warlock. They are seen as secretive and wicked. Their experiments have had some bad effects over the years and they have been devastating when provoked.
Ramsay Locklin has been the family matriarch for, well awhile. As a human he should have passed on by now but still he persists. His longevity is not impossible though. His granddaughter Susanna Locklin uses magic to appear young so age magic is something the family possess. Ramsay has worked to make him family more prominent. He married one of his daughters off to King Faron Ursain, he married a granddaughter to Kane Eberson, along with a few other matches, but not many. The Locklins rarely marry, in fact they rarely date outside the family.
Incest is commonly practiced in the Locklin family. They wish to keep their magical power as fresh and strong as possible and so they inbreed to keep the bloodline pure. The other houses of The Vale judge the Locklins harshly for this and the Church out right forbids it, and several Locklins have been brought before god to answer for this sick act, but none have been punished.
