The Pit

Settled in no city or village, The Pit is a common place for all Nathair. It is built on top of the sands and made completely of sandstone. It is a large ovular arena but it only ever hosts one fight, the fight for the crown. While other arenas exist in the Desert for base fighting The Pit only ever holds battle when a new Nathairian king is to be chosen. It is quite the spectacle. The seats hold up the backs of all kinds people from all tribes. Some people from other countries even come to watch the battle for succession. With and underground cellar outside that is cooled by ice from the north, airag drank by the barrel at the event. The field is sand, hot, loose, bloodstained sand. The grains hold the memory of all kings of the Desert's past. A perch sits above the field and detached from the stands. This is where the gamekeeper sits. They control the field and its effects and they are the one who makes the rules.
