The Dark One

Odfin or, as he was more well known as, The Shaman was one of many to be the Dark One. Odfin was a dwarf who migrated to The Vale. In his time in the human country he became a devout worshiper of The Dark God. In his sleep he received a vision from the Dark God. In it he saw himself sitting atop a field of corpses, sitting on a throne of horns. On his throne he was surrounded by the mists with the moon at his back. Odfin believed the moon was the Dark God and the mists were its embrace. Odfin believed he was chosen, destined to bring the world to its end and birth a new world. This vision made Odfin a fanatic and drove him mad. In his quest to restart the world he found and killed Dark One Zhao Lin and made himself the Dark One, The Dark God's chosen he believed. Odfin grew himself to be taller than even most humans, he dawned a mask made from the skull of an elk and long tattered black robes, he became the Shaman. How the Shaman actually planned to end the world is up for debate, no matter the answer he was not successful. Four heroes, Filavandrel, Galius, Ivarr and Faron sealed the Dark One away, stopping his mad prophecy. When the Shaman was finally freed years later he was instantly killed, and the dark cycle continued.
