Weryna

Lycanthropy is a disease, and as such it mutates and evolves to stay alive. Its most common effect is werewolves, but in the desert a different lycanthrope hunts, the Weryna. Part person, part hyena. They are not as strong as werewolves but they are much faster. Their transformation is quite different from normal. A Weryna transforms under the sun, rather than the moon. If wandering the Desert Wastes you here laughing, expect your fate, there is no outrunning a Weryna.
