Abwin Grotto
The Abwin Grotto is one of the research labs of Vosal Chig. Located southwest of Neverwinter the location was found in the deep swamps of Sherrey Bog
Hidden in the deep murky waters, an underground grotto opens up to the internal research labs.
Over time, a rune stone of vibrant life has caused a piece of greenery in the grotto to burst out from its containment into the bog above. This caused various magical creatures to spawn from curious to terrifying.
A single center can be found above ground. Emitting a massive magical aura distoring its surroundings. Various trees have massive pulsating growths on them.
The epicenter itself is a (closed off) pit with thick pulsating vines. Attacking them is extremely difficult, as the outisde appears near indestructible and any cut made seems to rejuvinate and heal rather quickly. If provoked, the vines reach out to the tree, animating them. (Awakened tree, MM 317, CR 2)
The three locations the party can find are as follows:
A medium cavern, filled with tiny sparkling blue objects in the walls. Upon closer inspection (INV DC 18) it can be discovered that these are saphire scarab beetles (Swarm of Insects MM 339, x 3). If touched, they'll jump out and attempt a single attack on the provoker. If the party is bloodied, they'll assault the hurt ones.
Hydra (MM 191). The cave has a river running inside of it. If entering the cave, large fresh footprints can be found as well as a collection of skeletons. If the party decides to stay for over an hour, the hydra returns swimming under the water and assaults as soon as it sees the party.

Corpse Flower MTF 128, Will hide in a tree and drop on the party from above.
