The Deep Ones

Divine Domains

Caves, mines, all other portals to the subterran and all their inhabitants.

Holy Books & Codes

The Deep Ones, and their followers have both made a point to never write any teachings or practices down, with The Vows of the Deep being the only exception.

Divine Symbols & Sigils

The symbol of the The Deep Ones is a mountain surrounded by a lush forest, while a crown can be seen firmly placed below the surface upon the roots of the mountain; bearing the weight of the world, as the world clings to it, with unseen power.

Tenets of Faith

The Deep Ones represent one thing, balance. Like the entity known as Oomes, The Deep Ones do not seek chaos, evil, good, or law. But they seek to seize the power needed to bend the world to their will. If law grows too strong, they want the power to level cities and cause war. If evil is too abundant, they wish to have the power to slay demons and dragons by hoards.

Holidays

Servants of The Deep Ones celebrate Atsa, a commemoration in remembrance of the day The Deep Ones saved the world. Celebration for the holiday is similar to Christmas. Gifts are given, warm feelings of gratitude and love shared, and money is spent on food and wine in copious amounts.   It happens on the first day, of the first month.

Divine Goals & Aspirations

The Deep Ones may rule secretly from below, but their powers hold great sway with the world above, as the world above holds great sway with the crown below. One day, the earths inhabitants will try to be rid of this crown, tipping it. The surface will then slip from that circlet, deep into the unfathomable bowels of the world, dragging it with them. Where the world will meet the kings who once kept the balance, holding the surface above a great abyss, before they are consumed by chaos and destroyed. The Deep Ones want to stop this from happening, and have named the event The Fall.
