Fair Folk of Nature

Hidden villages tucked behind massive trees or covered in foliage, silence stretching only to be interrupted by the beating of wings. In the fringes of the Elven Forest, the area called the Outlands, everything is silent except for the sounds of birds and wildlife. Only a trained ear would ever know that someone actually lives out here, buried in nature and hidden from their prey. That is the way it is meant to be, the Elves that live here on the fringes are never meant to be seen and heard, a misstep meaning their prey could bolt and food taken from the table.
Emerald Elves are the more adventurous and well-trained Hunters of the Elves, choosing to live amongst the nature around them. Their lives are dedicated to hunting and living within the means of the wilderness, rarely turning to the populated cities of the interior to fulfill their needs. While not nomadic, these people live simple lifestyles, investing in art and magic only when it aids in their hunt or in their storytelling.

Anatomy

All Elves share anatomical traits with Humans, but the outward traits of Elves are heavily influenced by magic and the areas of the Elven Forest they call home. Traits such as skin tone, hair color, eye color, and others are heavily influenced by location, especially in the Emerald Elves. Natural colors, such as browns and greens, are common, allowing the Emerald Elves to better blend into their environment and become a part of the scenery.
Common Colorations

Emerald Elves have a variety of skin tones, hair colors, and eye colors that tend to blend in with the nature around them. Because of where they live, their appearance is very neutral in color and varies greatly from the Jade Elves. Skins tones can range from a paler peach to a dark tan depending upon a variety of factors. Hair colors are often blonde, brown, or black, but a natural red is sometimes seen. The color of their eyes is also very neutral, often shades of green or brown.

Social Structure

Emerald Elf Culture is heavily based on family and the conservation of the nature around them. These Elves that live in the Outlands and elsewhere on the fringes of the Elven Forest prefer the traditional ways of hunting and providing for oneself that were prevalent before magic and technology took over in the larger cities of the Elven Kingdom.
Art and storytelling are common in these villages, but often in the forms of oral storytelling and artwork drawn on the sides of Wapiti Tents or within specific buildings. Many believe the Emerald Elves are "behind the times" but these Elves also use magic and technology, but many times prefer the pride that comes from hard work or a successful hunt.
