Black Mantis are very similar to the Praying Mantis found on the surface, with one extreme difference. The Black Mantis of Káto stand between six and eight feet tall, often towering over its prey.
A hollow chirping echoes through the darkened trees as the sun finally sinks below the horizon. The sounds come in waves, reaching through the forest and burying the sounds of other insects with its deep, hollow sound.
