Corvus Demons

These dark-feathered, bipedal creatures were crafted by Akumo in mockery of Aurou's avian creations. Though slender, they are unexpectedly strong and can move with surprising speed and stealth. They are intelligent and able to use tools, but not sentient. They do seem to share a rudimentary language, but these vocalizations are hardly different from other bird calls. They are rarely seen in the modern world, but are still known to congregate in the Vellan swamp, the southern Larathorn, and even some in northern Derathain. Legend tells of particularly strong-willed Vellans managing to train Corvus Demons, but most encounters with these opportunistic predators leave simply shreds of clothing, a discarded bone or two, and perhaps a pitch black feather.
