Melitrian Vosl
Melitrian Vosl
Melitrian Vosl was a minor figure within the worship of the all-mother in the early Vellan Dominion. More than any other figure in their history, he is responsible for the Vellan philosophy of inseparable duality. His teachings, though considered heresy across the vast majority of Raiven, have stubbornly refused to die out in the following few hundred years.
The crux of his heresy is the belief that the all-mother and Void are no onger separate entities, but instead have formed a new, single being that is inherently part of Isesda. This belief flies in the face of every orthodox faith related to Eledra or her children, who all collectively preach to one degree or another that Void is the one unifying enemy of all living things.
While the official position of the Vellan Dominion denies support of Melitrian's teachings, there has been a longstanding rumor that the emperial family follow them, starting with the emperor's son who was instructed directly by Melitrian.

Holy Books & Codes
Melitrian's teachings have been recorded in a number of different heretical texts throughout Raiven and Derathain, but his original became known as the Vifran Hylesda, roughly translated as the sacred texts of hybridization.
Within are extensive treatises on the nature of Eledra prior to and after creation, the essence of Void and how it is incorporated into creation, and how both are necessary for both life and magic.
There are also countless letters he wrote regarding his heresy and the reactions it garnered. Most are of a defensive nature, but he outlines many ways in which he believes the world could be helped by his teachings.
