The Godstone and the Great Divine Barrier

No mortal eyes have laid upon the object called the Godstone, yet most learned folk believe its existence to be a near certainty. The Godstone is the anchor by which Eledra bound the barrier which bars her Children from entering creation. A focus point of true divine power beyond even the Children, the Godstone binds the will of the all-mother to reality and manifests it in a pseudo-physical form. From this point the great divine barrier shields Isesda from Vaedra and those who dwell therein. Some imagine the barrier as a glass dome covering the world, but it is more like a flowing current bubbling up from within like a spring and washing across everything.   The barrier prevents any being of sufficient power from crossing into Isesda by any means, be they of divine or mortal origin. This limit however bars no being from exiting Isesda and entering the godsrealm. Though mortals should not be capable of achieving power to match that which the barrier bars, should such power somehow be obtained this could result in a one-way trip for the mortal in question.   Legend claims the Godstone is an unremarkable bit of rock, oddly shaped and less than a third of a meter at its widest point, but which weighs many hundreds of pounds. It resides somewhere deep below the surface of the land, beyond even the reach of the ancient Adamanta, and is guarded by a spirit borne of Eledra herself, the only thinking creature crafted by the all-mother directly in all of Isesda. At the ending of the world, when Eledra comes and wipes away her creation for good, it is said the Godstone will shatter awakening the collossi flattening all things into nothingness and surrendering Isesda to the will of Void.
