Clarlace Crystals
Brief
Clarlace crystals are a quartz-like gemstone that is mined in the province of Laimala. This gemstone comes from the remains of ice dragons who pass away near or on a Ley-Line. It is most commonly found along the only straight vertical ley-line of Isidoro as that is the closest to ice dragons' natural habitat.Growth
Like a seed being dropped in fertile earth, Clarlace Crystals seed into the ground via the remains of an ice dragon. The crystals can come from a ice dragon's horns, tail spikes, and the mana storing crystals atop their hands and feet. Upon being buried, or placed on the ground for a period of time undisturbed will cause the transference of mana and for the crystal to burrow into the earth. The process is eerily similar to watching the roots of plants spread in soil.Properties
Material Characteristics
Varying shades of blue to purple, with the occasional fires of yellows and pinks.
Physical & Chemical Properties
Clarlace crystals have properties similar to quartz, namely the crystal structure is nigh identical. If not for the amount of blue hue to the crystal being far stronger than any impurities that cause quartz to be blue, it would be far harder to tell the difference.
Geology & Geography
These crystals can only be found in proximity to the central Ley-Line of Isidoro that runs through Laimala's landmass. Even further, it only accounts for the parts of the Ley-Line that cross through ice dragon territory, as they are the prime component of the crystals. This means that there are veins of Clarlace that are under water, far out of reach of any mining tools.
