Firdau Trading Company

Brief

The Firdau Trading Company is a public organization that operates mainly out of Firdau. They are one of the bigger trading companies within Isidoro, and typically deal with trading along the islands of Firdau and Mitzure and are responsible for the transportation of product across the sea.

The Approved and Illicit

The FTC primarily helped move foodstuffs, teas and spices, as well as other animal products such as wool and cotton. This organization helped bring these resources to other islands and across the sea, and helped small coastal towns flourish via trading. However, due to the competition with the other notable companies during its beginings, there were subsets of the company that decided to deal in the more...unapproved substances.

Blackmarkets

Incredibly prominent in the port city Lautaganan the blackmarket thrived in the shadows of the Firdau Trading Company. Illegal goods like poached dragon parts, eggs from endangered species, to alchemy ingredients that were dangerous to offer--they had the standing and money to risk for it.

Structure

The Firdau Trading Company is owned by more than one individual. The FTC is technically owned by six merchant families, who came together when they wished to more reliably and safely transport their goods as well as make trade across Isidoro. These founding families each had a specialty within the trade and took a percentage of stock in the company, and the family still have stock to this day.

There is a small portion of stock that is available for public purchase but it is incredibly difficult to purchase due to its constantly raising price and its limited availability.
