The High Imam
Qualifications
It is said that at the time of a High Imam's death, the next High Imam will be walking up the steps of the Great Mosque, wearing a crown of sunlight, wielding an orb of the moon, with a flowing cape of black shadow, and grasping pure white desert weed.
Requirements
The High Imam must be a woman, and of the Aasmiar race.
Appointment
The new High Imam kisses the forehead of the last Imam to draw their wisdom, she then kisses the chest to draw their courage, lastly, she takes the scepter and makes her speech to those in attendance.
Duties
Leading the Church of The Immortals and providing spiritual guidance for the Principality.
Responsibilities
Appointing Lesser Imams, organizing religious rituals and activities, praying for the Chosen Prince, communicating with the divine, and dividing church resources.
Benefits
The High Imam wants nothing, all of their needs are provided by the church and its legion of male nuns.
Accoutrements & Equipment
The High Imam wears a regal sand yellow and golden silk thawb, covered by a thick black bisht with golden trim. Some High Imam wear head coverings while others do not. Those who do not wear head coverings always keep their hair short, not going past their necks.
