The Forgotten Library

A huge marble and stone building that sits within an empty field. The forgotten library looks very out of place at its current location and that is due to the fact that it is. It is an immense building easily 5 to 6 stories high with each floor slightly smaller than the last the building creates an almost pyramid like structure but with several large spires coming out of the top. The building is made from carved marble slate and a variety of other ornate materials and other stones. The large wooden reinforced doors lead into a small pit with two sets of stairs leading up to the next and main floor, this small pit like area it’s also the location where the adventurers portal drops them off at.   Beyond this pit the rest of the library is near impossible to describe as it is so constantly shifting and changing, The books themselves seem to be a life controlled via Gerald and Minas who are constantly organizing and re-organizing every book. On top of this there are also countless tiny people are going to that and stressed the building continuously carrying out manual labour transport in books to where they need to be re-writing or simply caring for the books within the library. Many interesting things have been collected in the library over the hundreds of years it is existing and they are all randomly scattered throughout seemingly without care regardless of the magical importance however an attempt to remove any of them from the library without express ground connection will almost exclusively result in the person’s death typically by 1000 cuts but on more serious occasions construct such as the stone golems that are set into the walls will activate.   Plotlines

Inhabitants
  • Minas: A "human" male with mid-length black hair that is constantly well maintained, he wears long blue mage robes and is rarely found walking, prefer to fly or teleport. His immense magical skill can only be compared to his dickishness. If you annoy him he is more likely to crush you with rocks then give you a telling off.
  • Personality: I loathe people, talking to me, being near me or even touching anything I own causes me almost physical pain
  • Flaws: Anything social. My isolation has left me cold and bitter to the world
  • Bonds: Knowledge, I will protect the library and the books within it until my last spell, but I will always save myself to preserve the knowledge I hold

  • Gerald: A tiny two inch dragon with paper like skin and tiny spectacles on his face Gerald is one of the more percululer members of the town. He is a “friend” of Minas and assists him in running the library. He is far more fond of the adventurers and he holds onto the book they use to write up their stories and tales from beyond the barrier as reading material.
