He grew up a son of the Smithy in East Gondolin, John, who was one of the greatest smithys of Gondolin. Jack wanted to start a smithy of his own however, and therefore he headed for Fishtown. Here he has been ever since, working the anvil and hammer tirelessly each and everyday.
