The Butterfly Task Force
It has been said that something as small as the flutter of a butterfly's wing can ultimately cause a typhoon halfway around the world.~ Chaos Theory (The Butterfly Effect)
Every single thing you do matters. You have been created as one of a kind. You have been created in order to make a difference. You have within you the power to change the world.Originally in A.U. by (3 people including Andreste Jones), this independent organization was created to improve society as a whole. They work to serve the community. [They act as something of a mercenary guild with a positive spin on their mission.]~ Andy Andrews (Earthen human)
Mission statement
"We are here to serve our community and the people within, helping all income levels, titles, races, species, and genders, all mortals and immortals alike. We are here to better the community and the quality of life for all involved. We believe that by making any amount of impact, even a small one, we can cause a ripple effect of positivity that will change the world on an infinitely larger level. Do good for one, cause greatness for many." Services:Rehabilitation
As a base guideline in handling criminals taken into containment or dealing with troubled individuals, BTF has always fought for rehabilitation as a first resort. They work with people to recover from addiction, trauma, loss, anger, grief, and any other quality or condition that may have resulted in their involvement in a negative act. They prefer to aid the person however they can and offer them a new and/or better life through such tactics as therapy, resource assistance, and workshops/training. If that person is unwilling or shows no progress within a generous amount of time, they are then dealt with by the main authorities - however, this is a lesser occurrence, as the rehabilitation program has been extremely effective (about 85%).The Teen Outreach Program
In [ A.U., BTF implemented a new program specifically targeting children ages 13-20. BTF would offer them a hiree position allowing them to engage in the services provided in order to make a difference in their community. Housing and food would be provided if needed, and they would be paid a fair wage for their time. Most of the time, the teens involved would be considered 'troubled'. They could be teens struggling within group homes/orphanages, schools, or with homelessness. Many recruited teens were picked up from delinquency trials as an alternative choice to serving jail time, acting as something of an intensive community service piece.Evolution and Acquisition
Slowly, the program became more and more focused on high profile crime.
