Radik Beorgoff
Arch Speaker of the Temple of the Divines in Brighthearth Keep.
Radik Beorgoff was born in the city of Khalast, in the Kingdom of Teugoras. He was the son of a simple merchant who hawked foodstuffs on the streets of the city. His mother had died in childbirth, and he was orphaned at a young age when his father was murdered by a would-be thief. The rogue was attempting to steal fruit from his father's market stall, and when the elder Beorgoff confronted him a knife was slid between his ribs for his trouble.
Radik was taken in by the Temple of the Divines, who had an orphanage in the city. He spent his years learning about the Divines, the Seven-Fold Path, and the Seven-Fold Truth. The young man was an accomplished student, and his devotion to the Temple was quickly recognized. He soon went on to become a Speaker and served in the local temple for several years.
The young orphan had become a pious leader of the local flock, but he felt that he could do more. All he needed was an opportunity to take the word of the Sevel-Fold Truth with him to share it with those who were not already familiar with the Divines. When the knights of The Order of the Burning Lance came looking for volunteers to travel to the Western Realms, Radik saw his chance to accomplish greater things and took them up on the offer.
He wanted to see more of the world, and more than this he wanted to bring word of the Seven-Fold Truth to the less fortunate of the foreign land. He was quickly lauded as an accomplished Speaker by the Order and rose through the ranks of the Temple presence in the West. Eventually, he became the Arch-Speaker of the Temple in Brighthearth Keep.
