Wild Magic Surge

According to the Imperial Arcana, Istoria is covered in a weave of magical energy known as the "Nervii". Following the Entombment, however, magical forces became more active, and more uncontrollable. Istoria is now full of these "Wild Magic Surges": strange phenomena, violent weather pattern, and unknowable creatures that plague the fringes of society.

Manifestation

Wild Magic can take a number of forms: sometimes it looks like colored wind. In its wilder stages, it may look like wretched, twisted clouds of shadows that screech across the land.

Localization

Wild Magic Surges are more common in zones known as "Tangles" in the Nervii. Over the course of recorded history, these areas have remained relatively constant, but new areas HAVE been created. For example, in the land of Corinas, the Seven Shires suffer from Wild Magic Surges as the result of a magical experiment gone awry.
