Azrael

Azrael, referred to most often as 'Lord Azrael', is an eccentric and enigmatic vampire. He prefers to work in the shadows, with few holding his allegiance for long. Currently, in 5627, it is known that he has - at least for now - deemed Riven Drast an ally... at least for the moment.
It isn't known how old this ancient vampire is, but his name reoccurs throughout history in the most unexpected ways. Though often childish, impulsive, aggressive, and with an accent designed to sound fake, Azrael does nonetheless hold an ancient's wisdom somewhere beneath the ridiculous hat he usually wears. Perhaps his usual absence from vampiric gatherings is evidence of that rare wisdom: if few know of his activities, then few can interfere with them.
Azrael does tend to favour mortals over the years, and has turned a small number of these into vampires to keep them around. His current 'pet' is a tiefling named Ilriste, who he treats as cherished pet, favourite snack, and chosen punching bag all at the same time.
