Iktanite

Iktanite is a highly dangerous crystalline material that forms via naturally-occurring chemical reactions between water and certain forms of igneous rock. It has a number of incredibly useful properties, such as being a fantastic fireproof insulator and holding enchantments better than many standard crystals, but is deadly when worn down. Due to the accumulation of razor-sharp particles in the lungs being a severe risk to most species' health, iktanite is usually avoided when found.
The largest known iktanite mining operation is in the Saqatri Hills in the Sunari Wilderness of Xin-Jiyu, where presumably Vexuan technology mined great quantities of the deadly crystal for unknown - but presumed industrial - purposes. The remaining piles of slag are a critical health issue and contribute to the dangers of both the Sunari and its Verdant Haze.
