The Second Divine War, often described as the Arcane War, was a deific war surrounding the advent of mortal use of arcane magic. It was a lengthy and contentious war, and only ended with the signing of the Arcane Compromise.
The war permanently scarred many planets and had even greater effects through the rest of the multiverse, including the creation of Terra Arcana next to Istralar. It directly led to the later cataclysmic Worldrend, from which the Shards of the Void are presumed to have originated.
It was the first major divine struggle to include the participation of Champions, following the outcomes of the First Divine War.
