Siglinde von und zu Schönigenteich-Güldenbergen
Prinzessin Siglinde von und zu Schönigenteich-Güldenbergen
The lady is beautiful, none can possibly deny that, but is it wise to trust in a smile that pretty? If there is any truth to the rumours of Gothadrun's intricate political landscape, Prinzessin Siglinde may be one of the most important figures stalking the halls of many palaces. Her smile gifts those fortunate enough to see it a warmth previously unknown; her honeyed words paint grandiose pictures few could work up the skill to create. Though it is unlikely for the princess to ascend to the throne with any haste, she still wields an unearthly amount of power over her future people and those abroad - as befitting such a gem of a woman. Those abroad who wish to entreat with Gothadrun need not seek the König of Gothadrun: by securing his daughter's favour, they secure a certain victory in their tasks. But despite her fair words and pleasant demeanour, it would be most unwise to risk the princess's displeasure: her temper may seem calm, but a storm brews for the moment you show weakness.
I would not expect you to trust my smile - you have no reason to - but to listen to the words it wishes to share. If you'd like to move on from my beauty, good sir?
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
There can be no way other than 'perfect' to describe the body of this enchanting beauty, or so would write the fools who fawn over her. Realistically, she is a reasonably tall and slender noblewoman of slight build, with precious few scars and a disdain for musculature. Her dedicated upbringing has spared her of the illnesses that many of her people have suffered in her eighty-odd years of life; this is simply the way of things, in her mind.
Identifying Characteristics
Siglinde's piercing dusk-pink eyes stand out among almost any crowd, unmatched by the commonfolk's mundane blues and browns. They are by far her most identifying feature - more so than her tiara, or the flowers and dresses she prefers to wear.
Special abilities
She's a witch. She must be: who else can charm so many? Like that?!Though the princess very clearly claims magical power, she chooses to not practice it in front of others and the details of her abilities are a well-kept secret amongst the nobility. Members of the Gothadruni nobility whisper suspicions of vampiric power, others let slip rumours of necromancy - but by far the most predominant is the rumour that her social graces are no mundane talent. Of course, Siglinde denies these rumours and decries them as petty gossip. Those who press the point find themselves regretting it some short time after thanks to the misfortune that soon dogs their steps.
Mental characteristics
Personal history
The princess is the firstborn child of the current ruling family in Gothadrun; even with three living younger siblings, two male, she remains the heiress. She was a blessed birth, one prayed for and longed for by her parents - König Frederich V and Königin Enneleyn - and many rejoiced at the angelic blood that runs through her veins. Before her first year was up, her name was known throughout the nation.
She wanted for nothing as she grew, and slow though her growth was, was given every opportunity for success. Countless tutors of arts, swordsmanship, magic, and other sundries served her, sharing skills and assuring her power. Her parents cherished her, yet her siblings found themselves incapable of jealousy - Siglinde was wonderful to them, too, after all. As they grew faster than her - for she alone was born with holy blood - they became her mentors, her allies, and those who would pave the way for her.

Intellectual Characteristics
Siglinde possesses an eerie intelligence and stunning charisma, at the cost of her physical strength. She stays accompanied by knights and guards at all times to ensure her safety in the face of these shortcomings. Her logic does not quite follow the usual patterns - she is terrible at chess, for instance - but forges her own pathways and bends wills to her control with a demure smile.
She never brags about her skills, never boasts or assumes: it is with a gentle grace that her silent rule is claimed, though some suspect said grace to be the fault of arcane magic.
Morality & Philosophy
Siglinde sees all as useful in some manner, finding ways to use even the most worthless of wretches. If her own plans cannot accommodate an annoying intrusion, she sends them away. Death is not her domain: she does not kill those who oppose her, viewing even that as a waste of life - and life, to her, is precious.
However, that does not mean her morals extend to perfect living situations. She understands the necessity of poverty for her own station to remain secure and is prepared to do whatever she must to achieve her goals. The poor and ill are not her concerns; she is not an altruist by any standard.
Personality Characteristics
Motivation
It would be unwise of me to share the secrets I hold close. I advise you to do the same. That the princess has a goal is obvious to all who know her. What exactly that goal is remains unclear. Given her sister's position in the Aletheian Empire and her repeated visits to dearest Veronika, it likely involves at least a fledgling friendship with the Empire's nobility - and perhaps even the most eligible of bachelors, Emperor Aneirin 'Cyne' of Aletheia.
Stunningly beautiful heiress of the Schönigenteich-Güldenbergen family; Gothadrun nobility. Elder sister to Veronika.
