Frares
Frares was a powerful city in the center of Escela, and the seat of power for the Duke of Frares, Destrian. It was a prosperous city, with fertile lands and a strong military. However, Duke Destrian was ambitious, and he wanted to expand his territory at any cost.
His ambitions led him to encroach upon the territory of the elves of the Corthon Wilds, which was a grave mistake. The elves were a proud and ancient race, and they would not stand for such an intrusion. They sent emissaries to Frares, demanding that the Duke withdraw his forces from their land, but he refused.
