Moonbright

A small village grove located southwest of Enidon on Elsland. It's populated by humble Halfling farmers who work just as hard as they play. Corn, wheat, and sweet potatoes are some of the crops that Moonbright cultivates to make a living. Some make a living off of fishing from the nearby lake. The village was run by a mayor until they passed away heirless, leaving the village without leadership. Unfortunately, this grabbed the attention of a greedy noble who took advantage of this vulnerable moment to take over and no one was strong enough to overthrow them.
There was only one day where an uprising came to pass where a young Halfling girl made her way to the noble face to face and killed them with an unknown magical source. Her defiance sparked a riot, but the sentry that served the noble were too strong. The guardsmen managed to back the people away and fight off those who dared began to riot. Violence soon took hold to scare the Halflings back and put them in their place.
The young Halfling girl who started it all was nowhere to be found but the deed was already done and the people who fought back were taken in to find out who she was. The noble's loyal followers wanted to make an example of her and they were driven to find her.

Government

Was once fairly taken care of by a mayor who was a local. They unfortunately passed away and a new landlord came into town to take advantage of the leaderless village and claim its resources for themselves.

History

Before the new noble came into town, Moonbright was known for its kind hospitality and the Harvest Moon Festival to celebrate fruitful harvests with others. After "the incident", a lot of what was once the bountiful harvest used for the festival now goes towards the noble's loyal followers and their sentry to keep the villagers in line.

Tourism

The Harvest Moon Festival was a small but well-known festival around the rural area. Some academic types from Enidon could find themselves enjoying the rambunctious atmosphere of the festival.

Simple stone and/or wood homes with thatch.

Mostly flat lands with some hills.

Natural Resources

Patches of forests and woods surrounds the lake in the middle of Elsland.
