The Paladins of the Thirteen

The Paladins of the Thirteen are the military arm of the Church of the Divines, their primary objectives are rooting out heresy in both Escela and Halion, as well as guarding important members of the church. It should also be noted that not every paladin is a warrior. Many become scholars, and artisans this all depends on what god they embody.

A total of one thousand standing Paladins, not to say they are a military force. But rather they are each individual operatives.

Structure

The paladins typically dont have a central command structure. Rather they each report to their home church for instructions from the highest ranking members. Once on an mission everything is left up to the discretion of the Paladins

Training

Paladins are typically selected at a young age by high ranking members of the church or scouts sent out to find candidates. One of the main things they look for now is the ability to use magic. Their training process is entirely dependent on the god they embody.
