During The Battle of the Blood Road, Ylese's navy played a crucial role in securing the Free Cities' victory over the Halish forces. Although the city suffered significant damage during the conflict, it emerged as a key player in the region, its strategic location and powerful navy making it a valuable ally to the other Free Cities.
In the years following the war, Ylese continued to prosper as a center of trade and commerce, but it also became known for its harsh treatment of those who broke the law within its walls. The city's rulers were ruthless in their enforcement of the law, and many saw them as being just as corrupt and power-hungry as the lords of Halion. Nonetheless, Ylese remained a vital player in the politics of The Free Cities
