The matriarch and true strategist behind the Gralhund ventures, Yalah Gralhund is anything but a fool or a typical ditzy noblewoman. She has a keen mind and the wisdom to discern friend from foe. Her husband worships her, and the two of them use all their resources to improve their station in life.
Yalah stays abreast of events in the city, keeps a tight rein on her children, and uses her connections and wealth to pry secrets from the lips of nobles, guildmasters, adventurers, and commoners alike.
The Trollslayers encountered her in her own house while it was being attacked by Zhentarim agents. With the help of her numerous guards and the half-orc bodyguard she shares with her husband, the intimidating Hrabbaz, and the sheer luck of the adventurers' timing in investigating her estate for the rogue nimblewright, the Zhentarim agents were either captured or killed. Despite the heightened state of crisis in the moment, she kept her children safe, and was able to convince the party to leave her estate, lest she mention their actions to the City Watch.
